Should I fly a sig?

I am contemplating adding a signature with two small links to the two main sponsors I work with..
I would do this linking straight out to them WITHOUT my REFCODE attached.

I am hoping that this would set an example for those who are tempted to abuse the signatures.

To be honest mate that is not going to have any effect on anything. Add a couple of creative texts and grab a couple of wm referrals for yourself.

Go ahead, just do it. Whether there are ref codes or not, o what you want to do.

Ref codes are fine and an acceptable part of netpond rules, so why not use them? No real need to draw attention to the fact that your not using a ref code or even contemplating not using one.

Why without a ref code? Surely you don't promote the same sponsors without an aff code??
If you don't want to have a ref code in your sig, why not add links to your own webmaster page with links to sponsors, link trades etc?

I don't really see what you are trying to prove anyway, a signature is there to promote peoples sites or sites they promote, providing people stick within netpond's rules they are not doing anything wrong.

You may as well use your sig and potential get a bit of money from them, rather than trying to make a point that the majority will never understand.

I'm trying to prove that we're all paid to post, most of us do not abuse the sigs, and some people want to eat their cake and keep it too.
