Is it really worth it to buy high pr one way links?

I mean for getting SE hits? I have a huge handwritten blog I'm creating and I was wondering if it's really worth it to buy links from sites that are pr5 and above?

i think you're further off building a network to feed and boost your own pr personally. a combination of feeding from your own lower tier network and creative use of abc exchanges with other sites works just as well and doesn't cost you anything.

I bought $1500 worth of one way links 2 months ago. In my case I was more paying for the service of link building.

As far as being worth it...well I guess so because It would have taken me a lot of time to go search and add 500 links.

It's up to you. I do not buy these links, because I have other websites to link from. Also. sometimes, I ask my friends to put my link in their websites. If you have not got your own blog network still, you may buy, but my recommandation is, do not spend to much. You can always reach that yourself, it just takes some time

btw there are some good sites offering you free exchanges with other adult bloggers. Try them and see results

I had people wanting to buy PR links when one of my sites was PR5 and I always said no, because I only want links in the same niche. Google danced and after a year it went down to PR4 so I would have felt bad if I'd charged for a link based on PR5 which was no longer valid.

High PR links cost more so no, it wouldn't be worth the money to me. I have bought links here but it's not necessary to my link building strategy.

The short answer is no. PR is just icing on the cake. Buy or trade links based on traffic quality and numbers, PR is just incidental. It used to be figured much more heavily in google's ranking scheme, but now its basically a relic.

PR doesn't buy signups, people do.

nope, it's not worth buying links based on PR only, PR is just a webmaster fetish yes, it can be worth it to buy links from the right sites. yes, on most keywords you can achieve the same results without buying any links. it all depends on the keywords and on your goals...

Buying links does sometimes work, but it depends on whether or not the site you are buying the link from will benefit your site. For example no point buying a link on a gay site for a straight site etc.

Buying decent page rank links is generally a quick way to get search engine hits. Also sites that sell links tend to have less links so you do get a much better click ratio than free links.
