I just bought a review site domain and hosting for it, and am needing sites to review. I can give 300-500 words in the descriptions. I would need a username and pass to your sites. I won't download anything, it will be mainly to look around and see what the member area has to offer so I can write a review on it. I'll admit that I haven't done a review site before so this will be my first one. If you trust me enough then please pm me with details of what you want reviewed with the username/pass. The site will be launched once I get 40 reviews up, and it will be backed by my network of sologirl blogs and purchased links/blog post. I'm working on this as a major project on my network so there will hopefully be plenty of quality targetted solo niche traffic to go around..

Gotta agree with that one - even if I could rightfully be accused for being biased .

If you're planning on doing actual reviews rather than merely site descriptions (and oddly enough that's actually the word you chose to use in your request), you really need to sample the actual content so you can get a look at video quality, photo sizes and quality, download/streaming methods - and lest I forget the most important thing , whether the content is actually any good (entertaining, hot, fitting the niche etc.).

I'm also not entirely sure I would really expect a whole lot of sponsors to throw around free logins until you've got an established site with at least a few handfuls of reviews and indications that it's not just a temporary throw away project (not suggesting that yours will be of course, just commenting generally).
I started out paying for all my memberships back in 2005, and I've done that all along with the majority of the sites I review - some months because I don't get enough requests, others because I simply had my eyes on specific sites I wanted to review (and personally I've never liked asking for free logins - either they come to me with requests or I'll just pay like a regular member, but I'll leave that decision up to you of course).

Most of them I've been working with and sending sales to for some time now, and if their program is good they know there's nothing to fear from having me review it. And no, I don't feel bad about asking for logins at all, lol...

Why don't you start by approaching your top 5 sponsors and asking them for passes to their sites? Once you already have a site set up with some reviews, other sponsors will be more willing to give you passes.

I read the replies, and you are probably right about downloading stuff and looking at it, I'm still learning, I had a mainstream review site once, but never a porn review site so I'm learning as I go, thanks for the comments, I can't afford to buy memberships like I would want to yet. I do know that I need to be established before like lots of sponsors send stuff my way, and that's fine. What I'm going to do is learn from what youu guys tell me, experiment with techniques. See which one works the best. Then go from there. Not really sure how long it takes to be established, but I know it will take some time

Alright then, guess I really wouldn't know afterall, since I've only tried asking on a few occasions (and with one exception, only in connection with a review update or a login that expired before I got around to doing the reviews).

If you don't have a problem asking for logins it's definately a good way to save money for a new reviewer - otherwise you could easily be spending at least a few hundred dollars a month on memberships (unless you try your luck with trials, but they are often with limited access these days as far as I know).
Not that that hasn't been a worthy investment - even the sites that aren't selling for me (most of the ones I've reviewed by far) are no doubt still being used by readers for comparison and thus improving sales of the better sites in the same niches (also the main argument I use against those webmasters who occasionally claim reviewers are supposedly biased and inclined to give all or most sites higher scores than we feel they are worth. Why should we? The genuinely mediocre or crappy sites make the good ones look even better ).

what's the difference exactly if we have one thread or two threads? my reviews are very niche specific, i'm not intruding upon your territory at all. why create another thread when there's one already on topic? it's not like i'm invading upon someone's sals thread trying to undercut them and sell my own product or anything like that. do you step up in a blogging discussion thread and say "hey buddy, back off and start your own thread, i don't care if we're looking to solve the same issue, just gtfo and start another entire thread on the exact same topic"? i doubt it, so what's the difference?

Knowing this should give you an edge over other reviewers who wont buy trials. Being able to predict what the surfer can expect from both the trial and paid membership should definitely breed loyalty. I never thought about it before so reviewers who missed it may want to take notice.
