Hosting for Wordpress MU

I have a couple of hosting accounts and most don't work well with Wordpress MU using sub domains, they work using folders but I prefer sub domains.

I know lots of you use wordpress mu, who is best for workpress mu hosting ?

Mu WP-MU is hosted at EXMASTERS i've not had any major problems at all

Varzi can easily support all your WPMU needs and lots of my customers are using it.

Varzi works great with WPMU. I would not suggest it on dreamhost, even with them supporting it, I think that was what got me suspended there.

I have several clients using WPmu, and I actually recommend using subdomains over sub-directories ...

Subdomains get recognized as their own domains with search engines ... so this optimizes your chances of getting some google love

I have wordpress MU on a virtual cyberwurx hosting account and it works perfectly.
when it will grow probably I will need to upgrade it but for a few blogs I have up it's more than good.

Just ask your host to enable mod_rewrite.

It takes a few seconds and if they wont do it then give them a mouthfull - any host that dosnt tell you up front that they wont allow the most basic of functionality should be shot.

Doing blogs I have wasted so much time dealing with hosts that will not do anything for you.

Actually all WPmu needs is wildcard DNS enabled ...

But I agree whole-heartedly with your final statement ... if your host wont do anything for you, its time to find a new one!
$10/mos clients deserve the same level of support at $500+ /mos clients.
