Is anyone still making money from submitting freesites to Linklists?

I've just recently got back into submitting freesites and it doesnt seem to be paying off at all. Just wondering if this is a dying traffic source.

I gave up on building free sites because the sales were initially so poor. A few months down the road? The odd sale here and there. A year later going over my stats? Enough sales to make the time worth it, they just didn't come right away. More like a slow trickle of traffic. And sales.

I used to submit free sites but not to many sales
but from time to time I still notice a sale here-there from free sites submitted a long time ago, so at the end in a long term view it was worth submitting

You won't get rich from submitting freesites, but it's not a bad way to generate a few sales, plus you can use it to brand your hub/blog and get bookmarkers from that traffic.

I thinkFS submits are done for SEO traffic sales and long term sales. Where as galleries are meant for instant sales..to me thats the ideal way to make things..instant and long term...kind of the ole rev-share pps argument..have to mix them up and work whats best for you

Keep submitting them, nismo, because it will pay off eventually. It can take awhile for the site to get picked up by the search engines, but when it does you should make sales.

I do, rates are pretty bad though, but I only submitted 20 of them and they aren't old enough to fully pay off. Still making around $15-20 per freesite.
