whole day today my isp doing something and i have everything working fine, but ftp. I can't connect to anywhere via ftp

support staff is not answering phone, and if it wasn't damn cold out there i would been going to shout at their office. Shall see tomorrow..

Could it be smart ftp on the server acting stupid? You have the info to my server try logging into it, to make sure its not your server thats having an issue.. Then again I can't send pop 3 emails and att/sbc swears that port 25 is open..

I've had those days. You just have to find some offline work to do until it gets fixed

Those things have a way of working themselves out eventually....

hehe, thanks for the offers guys

atleast since i am on dedicated from some months i went smartly via ssh and changed the ftp port on the server to be on different than 21 port. So i managed to update my site..

but anyways the outgoing connections to port 21 for some reason are filtered from my isp and i need them resolved, coz i need to connect to some clients` server to fix some script issues..

I feel like one handed because almost all of my ports a blocked.. that means - no torrents, no emule, no online games...
I even can't use proxies with ports other than 80...

kaktusan, why don't you try webbased ftp's ?

i am using webftp.de

even it is german i can understand what it says

and i never had trust problems with that site.

well you always can start vpn server at your dedicated and client at your pc and go under vpn.

doing this very often when i have problems with icq/ftp connection.
