Nope - unless green lasers prove more efficient than blue ones . Most likely it will be digital delivery as Sven800 indicates.
On assorted other forums (mostly gaming related) I've visited, there even seems to be plenty of people who actually believe online purchases of high quality/HD video will take over before Blu-ray gets a chance to properly knock out regular (upscaled) DVD.

Personally I think those people are forgetting at least a couple of rather important factors.

1) With current advances in broad band penetration and speed, it's probably rather unlikely to think that there already in say five to eight years will be enough people with access to the necessary bandwidth to stream (or the patience to dowload) 10-20+ GB high def movies.

2) I imagine they are also underestimating how much many people actually like to own a physical product, rather than bits and bytes on a harddrive (and I hope they remember to do backups if they go for the HDD option ).
The popularity of online stores like iTunes probably aren't all that great for comparison. Aside from the immense differences in file size between music and high def movies, the former is also something that it's a real benefit to own in a portable format.
On the other hand you're probably slightly less likely to bring your 52" HDTV with you for a jog or a bus ride than the case is with your iPod/MP3 player .

Don't forget the goggle or visual accessories technologies. For years I've been on top of the use of glasses,visors,goggles to view movies and video games. Some of these are so astounding you don't need a monitor on your computer. Can you image a monitor the size of a drive-in screen? You can change backgrounds where you're looking at your monitor or desktop you click browsers and menus while any number of environments are displayed from real time places like Times Square to fantasy like some Star Wars settings.

3D, full delicious definition like BR. The technology keeps changing but soon your computer system won't need a big keyboard nor big monitor probably just enough size for a HD and perirpheral ports and a Blackberry type key pad.

Omigosh! I just read what I've written and it looks like we're turning into The Krell!
