who knows how many are copies, where they originated from, or to what degree they've been editted to cover similiarities. they stated that the designers had been sidelined and the designs removed, well i guess they didn't think to remove all the designs submitted by this supposed 'contributor'. interesting...

ah, i see. so they have just changed the images.
well, its not a good thing at all but i'll have to say that 99% of all theme i have seen have been made up of other themes, look into the php files of most of them and you'll find legacy references to the old theme it was made up from. i know of at least one other place that offers free adult wp-themes that do this (rather badly) and its really, really obvious as well.

i don't know what themestores you've been looking at then. it's one thing to take a free theme, cut it up and offer it again as free. it's another thing to resell themes you've purchased rights too over and over again. but when you're taking licensed templates, editing them, and selling them as your own without obtaining resell rights. that is an entirely different ballgame. he's already made it obvious he has not got resell rights to the themes by agreeing to take down the ones he's been caught on. another has been found since then, and i wouldn't doubt if people found others yet.

I like how people in this industry just continue to shrug there shoulders and ignore all the blatant ripoffs and scams, and continue supporting people who perpetrate them even after they've been outed.

i wouldn't doubt it. what i don't understand is that he seems capable enough to edit the theme, why wouldn't he just save himself a big fuck around like this and design unique themes of his own? instead he jacks other people's designs and passes them out as his own and risks everything he builds up, and looks where he winds up now, running off with his tail between his legs.

i didn't mean my comment to sound filippant. i just wondered really what can you change on most templates except the graphics? never having tried it myself.

I bougth a template from him about a week ago. Payed via 2checkout. Just now i recieved a mail from 2CO that they're refunding it. Doesn't say wether it's Xyjak or 2CO who made the decission. Either way, I'm happy.. =)

Or well.. I'm not happy. Thought I got a perfectly good and suitable theme for my latest blog. =/

Seems good WP themes are hard to come by without a budget of several hundred bucks.

some people on gfy have stated they received unrequested refunds from 2checkout.com too. I suspect someone reported him to the biller, or that templatemonster contacted them after it was reported to them. i'm wishing i bought my themes that route, maybe i'd get a refund, but i contacted him to purchase directly over icq and payed via paypal. so i guess that's out of question.

If you purchased an adult template via Paypal then you are also breaking the rules. In fact one of my customers had their account closed for paying for a simple adult banner design. So not to sound like a prick but it seems you are very much like everyone else (including this Xyjak) who likes to bend the rules to suit themselves. Its pretty clear to me why Paypal wants nothing to do with adult because of people like you. Obviously 2CO will have to eat fees for all those refunds and im sure no one gives a fuck about them losing money. Its funny that you believe someone else should pay the price for your mistake as if they were really at fault.

He wanted me to pay via PayPal and I refused and though he advertised he takes ePassporte, refused to take it, too. So I paid via 2checkout for both templates. One I haven't used on a domain yet and am looking around to see if it's stolen or not before I use it or contemplate asking for a refund -- the other, of course, was refunded after I complained it had stolen content.

He used the template monster templates as a base for his design. Where does it say in the design world that you have to be completely origional. He changed it enough to get around copyright laws. If you realised how much work goes into makeing a wordpress template, you would see how much he added to the adult templates from the mainstream templates. He added a whole nother column and changed the header making it adult. The designs look nice enough and I can see he did bust his ass to make these templates. He just used the mainstream ones as a base. Good for him for selling them, the work is there and he took the time to make great mainstream templates into great adult templates.
