Looking for folder locking program
Hello,
Finally i decided to tidy up my laptop`s harddrive, usually my desktop is full with icons, there is no space for new icons and you can`t see wallpaper. So part of this cleaning and tidy up, i decided to create a seperate folder for my adult webmaster stuff. And i am not the only one using the laptop so instead of explaining naked girl photos to my girlfriend i decided to lock folder. So it won`t be accessible without entering password. Does anyone knows a free folder locking program? __________________
I can do gallery submitting, thumb cropping and any other manual work for you, just send me a pm for details.

Just use a virtual encrypted drive like Bestcrypt
No point in explaining why some of your folders have passwords to access them. Unless she knows precisely what to look for she wont even know the drive is there. And if by some miracle she ever found the drive there is no way she could get access to it anyways. This way you can still keep your files organized without having to hide them all over the place or give them inconspicuous names. I'm lucky I guess, my wife knows what I do so I don't have to worry about hiding porn. __________________

TrueCrypt is also supposed to be a very popular (and free) choice.
I've been meaning to try it out myself for a long time, but it's not like I really have anyone to hide anything from anyway  (already using KeePass for passwords), so I've never gotten around to do it.__________________

I'm looking for the same thing but i'm worried about what would happen if i need to reinstall my system and can't/forget to uninstall the locking program, will i still be able to access my folders?
Did a stupid thing once and encrypted a few windows folders so only my user account could access them but forgot to decrypt them when i reinstalled XP and got pretty screwed __________________

can't you give her a separate log in, and store your stuff in your mydocuments folder? if you set it up right, she won't be able to get access to it.
if you lock it, she's going to know something is odd, and will be thrown back in your face all the time. |

Creating another user account is a good idea. If you do it make sure that when you install programs you don't get mixed up between installing for 'all users' and 'this user' a pain in the ass but choose carefully
