I personally dont care for 12clicks that much, mainly because his answer to any sort of discussion is to talk down and claim everyone is just some guy in moms basement. Maybe thats just his online persona but if it is then he is that much less respectable in my eyes. I've always firmly believed in being who you are on and offline and not making up some sort of persona just to get attention. I also dont like the fact he keeps pulling the "im a adult industry pioneer" thing. Just cause you were one of the first to be in this industry doesnt give you instant respect, cause a lot of the "pioneers" in this biz did some shady shit even back then.

Anyway Im sure his reply to this would be "go back to moms basement, or isnt it time for you shift at mcdonalds" or someother tired reply.
if there's something you've done in this business that others would recognize as an accomplishment, lets hear about it so we can applaud you.
if not, anything you have to say about my kind carries as much wieght as the noise a rusty gate makes in the wind.

you don't have to like that, but as always, money talks and bullshit walks in this or any business.

Oh puleeze, your feelings are made of stone lol.

And I didn't make fun of your pink shirts -- I should get credit for that. (How could I when they show off the hairy chest??)

(I did look up the thread and no, that's not how it went. It was when someone thought KK was a guy. "KK has a very long history in our business and has much more to offer than just some webmaster. so before you decide to refer to others as sheep, keep in mind that "webmaster" is just above designer on the totem pole." was your quote. You just have to remember that "webmasters" who are so low on the totem pole are what makes a program owner an actual program owner and not a guy with a site that can't do squat and the designers are what makes your sites look pretty so surfers will whip out a credit card)

don't hate me because I accurately ranked the importance of different jobs in our biz.
how would your rankings go?

Good question.

I would put designer above webmaster/affiliate because they are vital to us selling the sites. A truly crappy design -- these days -- won't do well. 10 years ago it was a good selling point. But only a teensy-weensy bit above, mind you.

Program owner? I don't even think about the program owner being that high up. It's his employees who get the job done for the webmaster/affiliates. It's his designers who create the galleries webmasters need, the sites we need to promote, the banners that some people think they need.

I have an affiliate program. That does not make me better than anyone else. All it means is I have some sites, some software, and some ideas. It's my affiliates who, for the most part, bring in the sales -- theoretically -- that make ME look good.

But wait -- what about the content providers? They should be near the top, too, because without them, you own a program with nothing.

Is my opinion any more important than a newbie on this forum with one blog and one sale a month? Nope.

Well, to some, yes. Some judge others on the level of their income. I can think of someone who used to post here who always brought it down to "I made X number of sales and made X amount of dollars so I'm better than you are".

I judge on mustaches and goatees. Yeah, that includes a few ladies (and potential models), too.

a unique perspective. not one I share.

also, of course your opinion (and certainly mine) is WAY more important than a newb's opinion simply because of our experience and what we've accomplished.
My detractors always want to pretend I talk about money. I never do, I talk about accomplishments.
its no more complicated than that unless you're someone who's never accomplished anything but still not smart enough to just shut up and listen.

Well, ok, point to Ron, I agree with you. One of my "detractors" claims I lie about my stats, even when I post screenshots and trust me, I am not that good with Photoshop! Of course, they aren't bright enough to realize that for every sponsor you are 1:30 lifetime with, there are 10 others you are 1:10,000 with

(I'm 0:28,000 with one since January)

I've never told anyone how much I make, except for my accountant (oh boy, taxes due on Monday). And I've never seen you talk about money, either. I've seen others tossing around numbers and it just makes me giggle.

But someday I promise to buy you dinner and it won't be at Burger King.

Hell, yes.

If I were posting on a forum for brain surgeons my opinion would count for less than those who actually........knew something about brain surgery.

Hm, that respect level just went up a few notches.

Considering we had a post here a few weeks ago where one poster specifically stated he only met women for a "date" if he knew he'd fuck them, when I stated I only meet someone for coffee and never, ever any more ...
