Promoting Live Webcams - Tips n Tricks Tutorial
Just wanted to get this rolling a bit here... the tutorial will include your input and as well from some experienced pros who live off it... I will ask Will76, Adam or Ron from PussyCash, and 2 LipsCash to step into this thread and offer their professional experience...
as well I hope you will share as well your questions & tips.... So as a first edition...I will start it off... I actually think, the best webcam traffic is by niche... and that being said I as well think you can upsell a live cam on a niche site or any site to be honest if its not overkilll, and if you are presenting a model/performer that the surfer would have an interest in... Many webcam sites go overill on the variety.... let the sponsor give them variety...you are there to make sales. Crank out niche sales... just my 2 cents ...lets see what others have to say....  __________________

What would you rather, looking at a recorded video, or watching a girl live and telling her what to do. To me their is no comparison. That also makes it possible to promote cams everywhere. IMO there really is no such thing as cam traffic, with the exception of traffic coming from cam sites or adwords/links that have "webcams" in it. __________________

My advice - give the surfers the names of the webcam girls and teach them how to find what they are searching for.
So I promote the cams not with the common link but rather with the search term for the specific niche. Pick a girl in your niche and make a blog post from her profile and put some still pictures of her to a short description of her. Since I promote cams this way my webcam income has increased by 500%! __________________

The BIGGEST problem in promoting webcams is actually at the end of the webcam site owners. The amount of times I have inserted a snippet of code for lets say 'Big Boobs' or 'BBW' only to find live feeds being sent with flat chested skinny chicks or chubby at the best.
I am assuming that the performers are allowed to select which categories they wish to appear in? If this is the case as I suspect then it would work much better if the performers were actually vetted before being allowed to appear in niche specific categories. __________________

Great idea and some good tips here Dave.
I agree With Dave and Will, Niche Marketing is one of the better ways to convert live cams. The more niched your site is the better chances you’ll have good ratios (the narrower the search is, the better). Optimize- don’t give up on live cams after only few days of promoting. Experiment with it, find different approaches to promote and convert your traffic. If a certain landing page/creative is not working for you try a different one (the banner/text is what entice ppl to click, the landing page is what will convince them to sign up- find the tools that will do both for your traffic). Could be a good idea to build a sub page on your site, dedicated to cams and text link it to your main page “‘niche’ live chat” (navigation bar is a perfect location). It’ll filter your cam traffic and your users wont be distracted by the other ‘non cam’ options on your site. Most important, bug your reps, work with them, they might offer something new you could have missed in the promo tools section. Keep the ideas coming  |
