Unfiltered traffic sucks

I guess I've been spoiled with SE blog traffic and traffic from SEO pages. I've been running blog directories for about seven months and it's quite disheartening. So far the traffic converts about as good as I hear TGP traffic converts.......which is to say it doesn't convert very well at all.

At this point I'm planning to build a hub site to filter the traffic better and replace sponsor banners with banners for my hub site.

What do you think?

I say It's worth a try, atleast for the learning experience. Thanks for reminding me I need create a general traffic filter which I might need for future projects

anything to better filter it is worth trying! and i fully agree that unfiltered traffic sucks.

Don't you have category pages on your directories?

Yes, but I want to catch surfers on the main page of the directories, as well. That's where most clicks to sponsors come from.

Directory traffic does convert its just harder. An easy way to rotate banners based on their country or a specific keyword they are looking for etc would make the difference I think, however getting a decent script to do it is hard.

That would be great but beyond my skill level. Building a hub sounds more my speed. I had actually started a project that would work but I let it slide in favor of smaller, faster projects.......now I've got the motivation to finish it, hopefully.

I would suggest trying to get them to click more on your category pages instead of sending them to a hub after which you`ll also have to get them to click on category pages.
