What are anti terror laws for?

however that case and the others in the same council is a worker with a bee in his bonnet. any parent who is aware of the schooling system would play the system if they had a chance like that.

It wasn't really using anti terrorist laws, it was using a law designed to catch criminals, in this case the couple was suspected of breaking an act of law, so although it seems silly the law was introduced to help stop crime by giving certain public bodies power to spy.

I don't really think it was right to do it, and I am sure the people of Poole will be asking why their money has been spent on a case like this.

They are solely about increasing governmental power. Anyone who questions the spy programs is being unpatriotic and empowering the enemy.

Its another control mechanism government puts on voters. It is abuse of power and has nothing to do with "terrorism" they fight.

A few years ago i read that there are about 400 fatalities in england per year
and wikipedia (germany) says that aspirin ranks on place 16 for causes of
death in the USA. In germany aspirin is advertised like candy but pot (fatalities

I have also seen suggestions that aspirin causes up to 7500 deaths a year in the US. And this is not talked about as something we need to ban, need to install surveillance cameras to save us from, need to go and bomb aspirin making countries lest their aspirin find its way to our shores to endanger our children, etc.

Which is my point, really. The response to terrorism in the United States has been so ludicrously out of proportion that people have DIED sealing themselves up in air-tight safe rooms at night, and yet the average person takes aspirin (perhaps daily) without a second though.

We don't mind too much, we've only just got over the £75k ($150k) they spent investigating whether they should build a giant monstrosity in the perfectly adequate as it is already public park on the coast, when if they'd just shelled out 25p for a local evening echo they'd have seen that the answer was a resounding FUCK OFF.
