From what I have seen we have a few little clicks or groups that seem to want to push issues. Mods and Admins have there own area of netpond the active mods and admins are there everyday. We do talk a lot and keep each other informed.
I have taken a no bullshit attitude with things, because there is to much bullshit going on.
I think the other admins and mods are pretty fed up with it to, If you see it as a power trip its not just trying to get a different flow to the board...

Everytime we try to send a warning about something someone gets there cyber feelings hurt. We try to calm things down, and we get hit with we are power tripping.
I am not happy with the way the board has been going the last couple of weeks.

As a general rule mods and admins do not let personal feelings come in conflict with there judgement, if they have a problem with someone and see an infraction, they let someone else know and that some else handles it.

I mayself don't use infractions, its pretty plain and simple with me, I send a pm and thats the end of it. If I move a thread or close a thread then its moved or closed. All the rules are pretty cut and dry and have pretty much been the same for years. Everyone I would hope with the length of there stay here, learns what they are.

Admins and mods are pretty much equal except in a few area's we do not disipline one another, if we have a problem with a mod or admin then it goes to meat or aga. If you have a problem with one of us, then they are the ones to contact.

What happens between a mod/admin and a member is between that mod/admin and the member if the mod or admin want it known then its posted in the mod/admin area and it can be discussed.

Posting here is a privalege not a right. Keep things business like, handle yourself like a professional and you will never have a problem. I have seen this board be 99% professional and it is really awesome how everyone is learning and working together..

For what it is worth - I have been a GFY addict for many years. I was banned because of the usual politics and can go back any time - I just have to say sorry to the right people.

I don't want to go back to be honest - its a time waster. You just end up fighting with people that in reality are probably perfectly nice. The place just breeds that sort of attitude.

Here it seems we almost have the opposite happening. There are so many people laying down the law and they all have different opinions about what is right or wrong that you cant relax and just chill a bit.

I have seen some streetfights on boards in my time, but this board, this week, is hittin' the high note.
We got moderators fightin' with customers. We got scammers bein' outed....or maybe not.
We got threads bein' threatened and/or locked.
We even got a great fucking whalloping foo forah about bumping threads. Now that is where I personally draw the line. Someone should be sued. For slander....no libel....no defamation....some legal thingy for sure. This is heavy stuff.

You (the general membership) complain when old threads are bumped, and you complain when old threads are closed. Netpond has a VERY CLEAR rules about bumping old threads

An 18 day old thread, whether you like it or not, has dropped way past the first few pages. It wasn't even business related with a lot of valuable info in it that could make it an exception to the rule.

It is pretty clear, I agree but does anyone actually read the FAQ? The whole thing could become a non-issue if the board just locked all threads that haven't had new posts after however many days. Maybe it could have a message saying "Thread auto-locked after x days, if you still wanna talk about it, start a new thread"

Maybe 12 days?

It was a piss take - and to get a message from the other side you had to ahem rub his ring...

Dunno what happened to that - maybe the spirits got angry and removed it somewhere in the internet ether...

As to this thread - I think a little bit of spice helps the 'pond every now and then - kinda clears out the personality clashes...

However calling out or arguing with a mod seems pretty pointless - kinda like arguing with your ex wife...they're always right no matter what

Thanks to Rogue I got another idea for a blog - so maybe something good came out of this thread - for me anyway
