Looking for mentor, and a few questions
I'm currently looking for a mentor to help me get on the right path for galleries, TGPs and blogs... I'm a very experienced (web) programmer (With a lot of work under my belt) that can offer a lot back to anyone willing to mentor me. I hesitate to mention this, but I've already created an auto-gallery generator (Complete with a proper thumbnail generator), which allows me to make 3 galleries in less then 2 minutes, without breaking a sweat.
I'd be willing to sign up under any sponsors, offer any scripts the mentor needs, etc... As long as they are willing to take me under their wing, and get me to a point where I understand the scene, and what I need to do to make this profitable. That aside, I have a few questions:
Sorry for so many questions, but I tend to hold back til they all build up so I'm not making multiple threads a day ![]() |

I wouldn't rely on gallery submissions these days.
Mainstream domains are woth more than porn names, and you'll devalue them by using them for porn. Why do you need more domains for submissions? One reason I can think of is to avoid submission restrictions. If you go down that route, then you run the risk of being found out and branded as a cheater. I believe that multiple domains linked to a hub create a good structure, but you should use the same email and login for all submissions. |

I'll try to answer your questions, if someone disagrees, correct me... ![]() 1) Not the domain is logged but the IP from the submitter, so If you have multile IP's you could submit more. But be carefull with that. TGP owners could blacklist you if you break their rules. Make sure you submit to the bigger sites like thehun and/or buy submit account, you could buy 1 at shemp.com. I hear that shemp gives great traffic... 2) You could use any domainame you like, but for SEO a domainname with some keywords is more valuable. 3)Yeah off course, submitting from 2 different IP's and 2 or more different domains would do the trick... But take the previous warming into account!! 4)Sorry, don't use it yet... ![]() 5)see answer on Q1. Paid partner account could be worth it if well choosen. Next to gallery submitting I'm building my own TGP filled with sponsor galleries and have some splogs running. And I'm working on hubpages for my submitted galleries. Hopefully you can do something with this... __________________

Thanks all, I wasn't sure if I should rely on gallery submissions and now I know better! :P
Anyways, as for what I offer to a mentor: (Assuming they know what they're talking about, provide actual help, etc.)
Like I said, this all depends on whether or not they can actually help me get started, and get me to a point where I'm actually making a profit... A friend of mine had a mentor from here, who just sent them a link every week... Not very helpful. I have a lot of questions, and know probably next to nothing compared to 90% of you here, so... Yeah ![]() |

Athanx,
You do not need a mentor... The advise I can give you is: read... read... read... the forums... Ask your questions here in the newbie forum, you will get answers.... And find out with what you are comfortable in doing... That's the best advise I can give you... __________________

Just do it yourself - get a suitable domain name, and put a site together. leave it alone and try something else, and then check the first one. After you've done that a dozen times, you'll start to see what works for you. Leave the old sites up - you've done the work, and the chances are that you'll pick up a few sales.
Read and ask questions, that will speed up your learning. |

Remember, your TGP submit database is not the same as your MGP submit database. Nice specific databases are not the same as general databases. Use your databases wisely and you can get a number of galleries listed without violating any rules. Quote:

Remember that with the majority of paid submit passes, you are not paying to have your galleries listed. You are only paying to have them reviewed. The exception is a Shemp account. He will list all your galleries as long as they follow his rules. Just because you buy a submit account or use Chameleon, does not mean you'll get galleries listed and generate sales. There are a lot of factors involved. The gallery, content, sales pitch, sponsor, and sites you are listed on, for example. |

I'd say take things as they come along. Get a couple of galleries listed, find out what gives you the msot return for your time and before you spend money on partner accounts or paid listings make sure you know your galleries convert.
Seems to me like you started out just a couple of days ago? If I were you, I'd stick with submitting a couple of galleries a day and probably one or two freesites. If your fingers are itching for more work once these things are done each day, spend time making blogs or static pages. Maybe try your hands at tgp's or fake tgp's. But I think to begin with having a couple of galleries and a freesite submit each day is a stable start. Will give you experience from how to handle the traffic, identify good/bad traffic and see what works and what doesn't. Just realize galleries in themselves aren't long term traffic generators. So make sure you get sites made that will generate their own traffic too. __________________

I will add to the "dont try to beat the system" thing.
If you want to submit more galleries, get more partner accounts, and consider hand submitting if not supported by your tools ![]() __________________
