I will investigate why the thread was moved, i actually put it back ont he forums after it wa smoved last time so have noi idea why it got moved again.

I will bring it back and sort this out

I think the problem stems from the abuse of the paid to post feature of Netpond. Without a restriction on bumping old threads, people will post crap just to get another 5 cents. The classic example is bumping a six month old happy-birthday thread with a simple "happy birthday" post. I suspect all agree that that is a nuisance, and just an attempt to rip off Netpond. Maybe the answer is to have a few "golden" threads that are exempt from the age rule.

bumping a happy birthday post from 6 months ago is slightly different to bumping what is a well read and well posted in thread like this one thats obviusly benefitting members of this community

Just because we are intelligent, it doesn't mean we can't be stupid.

Giving a thread a gold award might be a nice recognition for the thread starter, but I expect some new guys will abuse that as well.

Easy solution. Send that moderator back to moderator school or get him/her to clean up toilets instead. Then, don't pay the nickel whores. Anytime they screw up, zero their point balance! Next, ban Head Boy. He didn't do anything, but wouldn't it be fun anyway?

Looking through it now .. much like with other past tutorials (including many of mine) the information is badly dated and could do with some TLC to make it relevant.

After reading through this, and posting a tutorial earlier in the day, this struck me...

Why not put in another sub forum to Netpond, solely for tutorials and things like that? No business chit chat, no hawking wares, just people writing tutorials, reccommendations or general Q&As on things like coding/scripts, software usage, etc.

These seem to be fragmented all over the different subforums at present, and keeping them all in one place would make it easier to find them, or keep an eye on them.

Issue is Lance that much of it is NOT that dated and still works.

I have the exact same principles in play for a celeb traffic project that I started in October last, that now, over 25 domains, is already producing near on 100k daily uniques.

No fundamental change to throught or structure.

By answering questions in the thread on the fly, and I always direct peeps to redirect questions to the thread, everyone gets benefit.

What is relevant for one person may not be for others, but what works, works.
