Thread Deleted, Then Brought Back, Moved, Now Deleted Again...

Was in the graveyard, then put in the new webmaster forum, which was a good place for it, now buried again.

Just because people were reading and using again.

Well I know, but people making things personal when others could be learning makes me remember grade school.

I am not sure what the big deal on this board is about reviving old threads. On one board I post on, they just revived a thread from 2005 and it is really interesting. Seriously interesting. I am sure there are few around here that would be well received as well. Wisdom is something that accumulates over the years. Just because it is new and shiny and three weeks old, does not make it either a: interesting or b: useful.
I am at a loss over this mod obsession with the young and restless.

I have to make an edit. I believe I actually revived a three week old thread and was chastised by somoneorother who slapped my wrists for such a transgression. I have never seen a board so intimidated by mods....ever. I know I am about to lose my posting "privileges", but seriously kids, wtf is this all about.
My apologise to anyone whose toes I have stepped on, but this just makes me shake my head when I see threads disappear, appear, disappear and all hell breaks loose with admins and mods all falling apart in a flurry of ass covering and posters ripping them a new one and bannings and threats and well, you guys can all see this. Someone needs to get a handle on all of this...or not. Actually, I don't really care, I just thought I would post an observation as an impartial observer at the moment.

The thread in question (How to Make $1000 a Month in this biz in your spare time) has been continually used as an active tutorial (when it has been available) since I first posted it in November 2003.

There are more than a couple of peeps here at the swamp who have built there own empires based around it's precepts, and have gone on to bigger and better - and those people have always made themselves know.

The basis of the tutorial still works today and is still valid, and I continue to help Netponders who talk to me about privately all the time.

In fact it was one of those people who asked me where it had gone again.

It was and is a resource, and I have always helped people out, so I can see no reason, other than personal issues, as to why it was AGAIN removed.

It is the newbies that lose out when things like this are done.

Is that the spirit of what Netpond is all about?

I never thought it was.

I am sorry, but I am new here and I have no idea about you and your history SB. For all I know, you own this place. So this is just an observation. But I think something is out of kilter when you are arguing with your customers....the people that post here. I know that if I were to argue with my customers like this, I would be out of business real fast. You all believe that these boards will run forever and your numbers are good and you don't need to worry, but I would reassess that position if I were you. As far as power goes, the people that pay the freight have the power. Not the ones that drive the truck.

So why delete a thread that was being used to make people money and that they can learn from, I really don't get it.
