*biz* What do we need to do to innovate again?

People rarely set out to innovate, they are usually trying to build a better mousetrap and fall ass backwards into something 'new'. You can't 'innovate' on a schedule and quite frankly I don't think innovation has much to do with success.

Without the right people innovation and new technology is nearly useless. The internet is no longer pioneer territory. What we need now are people who can take disparate elements together and fuse them together successfully.

Adult used to be the leader, we would innovate and mainstream would follow, but the last 3 or so years we are definitely the sheep and follow mainstream. I don't even remember the last time I saw something in Adult I hadn't seen before .. and I think falling ratios are a symptom of this.

To have a trully innovative new concept we need it to not just be a different way of presenting the same content. It needs to possibly BE new content, have a new surfing or delivery method, and be popular with the surfers, possibly more interactive. Will it be Web2 or something different ?
