Commuter fined £69 for standing in first class - Telegraph

It's time that they re-nationalised British Rail so that we can get some sanity into the business, and get back a decent economic service. The trains here contain fewer passengers than the cars they hold up at most crossing gates.

I can fly to most places in the UK cheaper than taking the train.

I usually smother myself in brine or sunflower oil when im about to get onto a train so that i feel the part.

I think commuters are packed in like sardines, but only the young, the elderly, the drunkards, and the losers use it at any other time. The train fare for one person to travel to Somerset from here is £35. My return cost for two people in a car is £20. (and that is door-to-door at my convenience).
