Do you set yourself targets?

Just wondering if people set themselves targets and if they do, how they set future targets and what they do if they don't meet them? What kinda targets do you use, amount of money/sales per month/week etc?

Personally I do and set them month by month. At the end of each month I sit down and look at all my stats including traffic, SERPs etc and plan ahead for my next target and create one that's reasonable.

Each month I plan to earn more than the previous month.

I make sure that I keep on top of my main sites because they never fail me and if the figures start to drop on them, I concentrate on them.

I decide whether the next month I am going to build more, work on serp's or work on some of my current sites.

I often get sidetracked, May is concentrating on my current sites, however I've already bought 3 new domains, so I've sort of lost my goal already, but I shall get back on top of it.

Yes, I set myself goals. Nothing can be completed without that imho. You dont need to write em donw, but you need to know what youre doing.

I write down the important goals in work and then add steps that need to be done etc... For me works best the "tree" graph, where the goal is on the top and the various steps under it, I can expand it to the left, right etc....

all my projects drag on too much and are replaced by old ones 90% of the time, I work much more efficient when I'm not alone in my room but then again I gotta be on the lookout when I'm not
