Sounds like it has issues then. I am glad I just made a clone of my system last night. I should probably try SP3 in the next few days so I have an easy way to restore. Its amazing how many of microsoft's releases just totally fuck a significant number of systems.

Think of how many people buy generic devices from companies like PANDISK that come bundled with hacked drivers. I would never buy a cheap Hard Drive from a company called INJUTSU (just made this up) but many would.

I did some reading and like any product, half love it and half hate it. Half had issues with it and half had no issues.

I used Windows 3.1 until 1998. I then went to Windows 95. In 2001 I upgraded to Windows 98. In 2004/5 I went to Windows XP.

My favorite OS has been Windows 98. No blue screens of death, no crashes, it was just awesome.

But, I haven't had issues with XP Home and ran SP2 for years.

But I do know I won't go to Vista. Like 2000 and ME, it's icky to me.

the good thing about staying one step behind everyone else is that when you run into trouble there is usually someone who has also had that problem and documented a solution

Uh, I wouldn't put 2000 and ME in the same category, 2000 is widely considered to be one of the more stable ones, far more than ME. Much more stable than 98 for me on the same computers.
