Did anyone get their ccbill check this week?

Paul, Now's a good time to again request that CCBill offer ACH deposits rather than expensive wires. If it's about the extra $$$ from float, maybe set up the ACH desposits to be made on Wednesday. This is not the first time the mail has been tardy.

I'm positive CCBill is overwhelming the Tempe postal system, and by extension the Phoenix sectional facility - Phoenix is already overburdened due to a rapid increase in population over the last 10 years. Unless you use a satellite office to print checks and mail them from an alternative sectional center, this is just going to keep happening, at the risk of blemishing CCBill's reputation.

Of course an ACH option is the best, followed by more than one check mailing location in the US.

Unfortunately we do not have any plans at the moment to implement ACH transfers. We offer FedEx delivery, Wires, and normal postal mail which really has been quite reliable over the years.

I'm sure it has been, but CCBill has grown where post office facilities have not. Last year the Phoenix area ranked #3 in the nation for most population growth. Pinal County, also served by the same Phoenix sectional facility that handles your mail, has grown over 65% since 2000, nearly a record for the entire nation.

Mailing everything on the same day (double-whammy when you send out affiliate checks that week) taxes an already overburdened USPS system.

ACH is the best (and most modern) solution, and is the fairest to your clients. But in lieu of it, the company should consider mailing checks throughout the week, not just on Mondays.

I'd be interested if any of you have had your wires delayed by more than a day. This seems to be reported on some of the other boards, but it's hard to know if they are using non-US banks.

Well, we should mind, as this is how it all started with iBill...

(No, I'm not sayting CCBill is going down the iBill route, just that this is a business built entirely on trust, and once trust is eroded, people will just look for other payment processors.)

I am thinking that it has to do with the fact that Mother's day was on sunday, which is causing a delay in mail shipping.

At least, that's what I'm hoping.
I am buying a house this week, and if I don't get this check, it could seriously hurt a lot.

Checks are sent out Mondays. So I wonder if your Tuesday pickups at the PO are for the previous week, not that week. IOW, getting your check on 5/13 that was mailed 5/12 is pretty unusual, unless you live right next door to Tempe, AZ.

Whole different route. CCBill pre-sorts their mail into large trays, like any bulk mailer. The trays go different places once they enter the system. Those leaving the US probably took a left turn at the post office, while everything else took a right turn...

FWIW, Paul, on GFY you mentioned most of the late checks appeared to be those to the East Coast. I'm on the West Coast, within a 5 hour's drive. I don't know if mail from the Phoenix SCF is trucked or flown to San Diego. I suspect it's trucked.

Checked the mail today. Still no check. It's normally here LAST thursday, friday at the latest. I'm in Indiana, if that helps any.

It's a shame people have to hassle over getting paid on time. ACH would eliminate these issues. This isn't a major holiday, folks, and Mother's Day and the postal increase came a week AFTER CCBill mailed these missing checks.

The extra money CCBill earns from the float by putting checks in the mail rather than using direct deposit doesn't seem worth the reputation hit they are getting on all the boards.

With CCBill refusing to consider ACH maybe it's time to consider some alternative billers? Keep CCBill as a backup maybe, but rely on someone else for the bread-and-butter.

A delay of a day or two is to be expected every once in a while, but an entire week and no major holidays points squarely at CCBill seriously needing to reconsider their workflow and business practice.
