Not true and exactly the point I was trying to make. Traffic does not automatically equate to dollars. You could have a gay site getting 100,000 hits a day and not make a dime if all the traffic was straight surfers. The same with a site that had nothing but Chinese surfers or a softcore site that got all of it's traffic from The Hun.

hmm who would be dumb enough to send straight traffic to his gay site. If you are smart enought to generate 100000 hits you are smart enough at least to send it to the right place

Great observation. Most everyone in this business is self-made, both producers and promoters. But so many have never taken the time to step back and learn anything about economics. They think they are successful because of their own initiative and intelligence, but they were just at the right place and the right time to jump on a bandwagon and copy what everyone else was already doing. These are the same guys who now can't figure out why their sales are dropping and thus predict a doomsday for the entire industry. They can't see a future for the business because they never had a vision for the business in the first place.
