Hard work is relatively easy... although they do call it "hard" work for something, I'm sure. Smart is another thing altogether. But I guess that's what book stores, conferences, resource sites and chat boards were made for!

Yeah, it's over saturated just like the restaurant business, the car business, the real estate business, the fishing business, the clothing business or any other business you'd care to mention so I guess everyone should just get jobs working for people that are already in that business and forget about starting their own, right?

Porn has been going for centuries acutallly milleniums. Cave men drew pictures of people fucking on cave walls. There is always room for more people as we are a species that is designed to reproduce.

I started in adult a little over a year ago, and today I don't do anything else to make a living. If my hubby quit his job tomorrow, we would still have enough to live a good life... and no, I don't live in a cheap country either...
If one is willing to treat it like a job, there's still plenty of room for newbies, but saying that; board posting and reading old posts does not pay the bills..... Some reading to get the general idea is good, but the best way to learn anything is start doing it.

I guess I started about the same as my join date here, although I was reading webmaster forums earlier than that. I started with blogs. Can't say it was hard work and still isn't to me today.

I think nowadays it's easier because you don't need to invest a dime to make some nice bling. You got free hosting for blogs (thumblogger etc.), you can get free license for chameleon submitter from sponsors etc.. When i started (wasn't so long ago) there weren't such things.. Also the hosting is super cheap, domains too..

I believe that it is a matter of doing what you see works for you (not necessarily what you enjoy and know about like everybody seems to tell newbies).....when I started, I tried a bunch of niches, and saw that I coud do well with a few, and I became specialized in one.....down the road, after making over 400 blogs (and building more), I can say that anybody with the will to achieve their goals, will make it in this business.....but I read that it is a very little amount that will keep on working after a few months.

I kept on looking at making things better, and I'm achieving my goals one after the other......and should reach my dream sometime in 2009!

It's certainly not the hardest work I've ever done and definitely the most enjoyable...

Adult/porn blogs or or should I say Splogs - are certainly at or near saturation level - but then again just how big is the net

I screamed like a stuck pig when they first reared their ugly heads and do see fierce competition particularly for babe sales these days...

Hence my need to micro niche babes and expand into true porn (ooo get me lol)...

But hey some of us old school bloggers are here for the long haul (livelihood) - yeah I'll help the odd newbie out to some extent - however one has to realise they are our direct competition...

Though it's kind of refreshing to be in a business where our future competitors are shown the ropes and even give a leg up now and then...

There's plenty of room to make a decent living without compromising your ethics just a case of ourselves working smarter and harder and teaching newbies the acceptable side of adult webmastering

After all if every newbie popped a shit load of Zango and stolen tube stuff everywhere we'd all get fucked

I love Honey Lyn and she made the most honest and true statement in the video. Sure there's always room for new webmasters because others are always leaving. The truth is that well over 90% of the people that start in this business fail because they went into it thinking it was going to be easy and they were looking to score some quick bucks. The people that get into this business that have a brain and a little understanding of how business works in general are the ones that stay and realistically, there aren't that many overall compared to any other type of business.

The unfortunate side effect caused by all the newbies that fail is they just glut the Net with more free porn because they think all they need is traffic and the way to get traffic is to give away free porn. The fact is that once you give away enough for free, there's no longer any reason for anyone to pay for it.
