Do you anaylize your stats daily, weekly monthly?

When you look at your stats are you one of those that checks it 40 times a day stressing out when sales arnt coming? or do you look at them once a week, maybe once a month?

I ask cause this month,stats wise, was the weirdest Ive had in a very long time. The sales fluctuated more daily than I can remember but yet when I do the monthly breakdown sales are actually up from last month...I generally look at my stats once a week, usually on Sundays or Monday morning but this month I caught myself checking them daily and I have to say its a lot more stressful that way.

Is analysing your stats a big part of your buisness model? Sounds like an obvious "Yes Of Course" but I was surprised when chatting with some guys who actually dont bother with it...some dont even know where the sales are coming from, or dont use the campaign function that a lot of sponsors provide....they use the same link for every gallery, for every tgp they submit to...which is fine if your sponsor provides you with referral logs but some dont...

anyway I think Im going back to my weekly stat checking as this daily thing gives me a headache.

I run my all stats 2 times a day [via nifty stats], and i look my traffic stats once a day.

i check them all the time, but like this week they were so crappy at the beginning of the week, i tried to avoid checking them since it put me in a bad mood. Finally on thurs they started really kicking in

I would not worry unless they were down for weeks in a row, then something is up. I have found that u can go through days of dry spell and then it recovers

Once a day usually, when I first get online. if I see soemthing out of the ordinary (spike in traffic etc) I track it down and dig further, but generally it's just a check in to see if things are looking ok.

i usually review the previous days stats, the next morning..

depending on your goals, a deep review of stats can be done (once a week, once a month, etc..). going back to look for spikes, to see why/what/when/who is a good thing to do.

I run StatsRemote once or twice a day - and fortunately it doesn't result in anywhere near as many panic attacks these days as it did a year or two ago, though I do still get the occasional day where I'm sure the world (or at least my income) is coming to an end .

but I do look at them every once in awhile just to see whats what.
I really should do more anaylizing but am too lazy

I look at my traffic and affiliate stats about 3 to 4 times an hour. I am a stats junkie. I don't stress out over it. I just like watching the numbers fluctuate and trying to figure out a way to either keep them up or make them go up. I've been doing this for about a year and a half now and maybe I'll get tired of doing it eventually, but I think that a ton of information can be gleaned from all my stats, so I'll do it until I feel I have learned enough to no longer check them that regularly.

I used to be the same way, as long as the sales were coming in I was happy but then once I took the time to filter out the crappy sources and pump up the traffic from sources that were sending sales my overal sales, ratios got a lot better.

Of course I work a lot with PPC so analaysing is important otherwise you're just throwing money away.
