Title says it all: What's the brand of the computer you spend the most time in front of.
(Reason for the poll: I'm soon gonna replace the old faithful machine which has been my desktop since 2003 and I want to know which other brands people are using)

I've never owned a brand name desktop - at least not unless you count small local shops slapping their sticker on a machine I've customized from long lists of parts on their websites

After my last desktop died after only a year (a fried mainboard exactly a year after I bought it, right down to the date - I'm suspecting the shop of having planted a timebomb

), I decided to try something new though, so I've had an Asus G1S laptop since November last year.
I think I'll probably get a laptop next time as well - though I don't think I would care much for using one if I didn't also have an extra 22" monitor hooked up as extended desktop.

I use my Vaio for 99% of my daily work, but there is a CICERO desktop beside me and another one upstairs.

CICERO is Future Shop's generic stuff.

I switched from emachines to HP for everything in my house I have 3 emachines still here, 1 Compaq (which sux), and my HP desk and labtop and will stick with HP or Emachines for my next purchase based on customer support and respect for those companies even though Emachines was better before gateway bought them out.

This is the one i use most though

I always choose specs and computer store techs build it for me. I don't understand people buying brands and not technical specifications

I haven never owned a brand name desktop, always either built my own or gotten one made, and to date have a lot less issues with them than people I know who buy Dell etc.

My machine is a high end Lenovo laptop. It can take a second hard drive in the ultra bay, has a nvidia quadro fx graphics card, and 1920x1200 screen resolution. I am mostly over desktops since they draw so much electricity and I am on solar.

I would like one of these for rendering and transcoding video though- Building home linux render cluster

Make your own up and choose all the specs you want, even if you have to get a shop to do it for you.

Then just upgrade as you need to, rather than replacing the whole thing every few years.
