Who is this person? I mean, you have to give them access to your server, so knowing exactly who this is would be pretty important.

Many of us block any IP but our own from SSH/FTP/etc for security reasons.

Interesting ... but I have no need for it, as I package INSTALLATRON included with all of my hosting plans I sell ...

Now curious, does his service just support a certain list of scripts, or does he do ANY script you ask to be installed? I could see where some ppl might have need for the latter scenario ..

I sometimes have customers who sometimes need scripts setup and we really would rather send them to someone dedicated to that.

You can simply change passwords temporarily and grand temp access in these types of situations. It's not like this type of thing cannot be reversed pretty easily. I also give customers multiple FTP accounts which can be jailed to a specific directory for such purposes.

I ask my host to add the IP temporarily for my programmer.

In the past I'd give someone their own FTP login and pass but sometimes I forget to remove it.

It includes any script. You just have to supply the script or give him a download link for it.

Now on to who he is. One he is my husband like I already said. We started out as a husband and wife team in the adult market back around 1996 on the net. Before that on BBS's. His background is engineering and programming. He started programming in 1975.
