I don't know why people keep saying stuff like that about finding him. How long did it take to find all the German officers that were responsible for genocide after WWII? And that was in peacetime when we had Germany under our control and could use the full force our investigative abilities using the army, FBI and CIA. In Afghanistan we are at war so we only have our troops and a small number of federal operatives to find one guy that could be anywhere and then we have to kill anyone that is between him once we get an idea of were he is.

Also these are not ragtag freshly trained terrorists we are fighting. There are new guys coming in all the time but Arab fighters have been crossing the borders between Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan for 30 years fighting the Russians before a single american soldier ever put boots on the ground. You have lots of guys going back and forth that have lots of training fighting with guerrilla tactics in their own backyard. You think we can just go in there are kick ass and kill everyone and go home because we are America?

I have sad news for you but America has not been able to declare victory in a single conflict since WWII. We are not the best trained military in the world like everyone wants to believe but we are the most well equipped.

Many of Osama's lieutenants are a much bigger threat than he is. They are the ones ordering the strikes and coordinating things. That's part of the reason he is so hard to find. He isn't talking to them everyday. He stays hidden.
