well, firstly many here are seasoned webmasters---thats who many of us are.

I think that the post telling you that your sig was shit was for sure the wrong.. But, as you say ..no there is no ban on that program..
its just that the idea and what those programs are built around that do not sit right with some folks.

secondly, even though they have an affiliate program, I would never my send traffic to a "paid to surf" program... that really defeats the whole purpose of my objectives as a webmaster promoting honest programs that pump out good porn. Look at some of the sponsors here at Netpond... a damn good example of what this business is about right now in 2005 September.

As a webmaster who tries to profit from all my traffic, I would have to say that it would be wiser to keep that traffic myself or push it onto trades...

I could even pump that traffic back to mainstream sites and make better $ with PPl...

I spoke with him about 3 weeks ago and he was dealing with very personal issue. I hope everything is ok with that. He is one of the coolest guys I have ever worked with in the biz and I hope everything works out for him.

I doubt with what he is going through he is even on his computer.

I agree - he's done this before, and I too think he'll be back. Last time his excuse was that he had to take care of his mentally ill girlfriend. And as much as I like to belive that, and admire anyone who's taking care of their spouse in need, I still don't think it's ok to leave without notice.

I had not thought about that before and sounds like a good idea and in the future when i do purchase traffic i will do just that.

...as far as everything else goes apologies, i dont see what it hurts though to have that there...maybe if the request to move it would have not been so abrupt from someone that i really dont know or communicate with, it wouldnt have ruffled my feathers. i rarely change my sig, someone on here said about it, i went and signed up for it, ive earned a little over a buck, obviously not that much, but its not hurting anything the way i see it. it was something different for me, thats all. wouldnt have hijacked the thread if it would have remained on topic and not geared at previous poster over something wacky. and im not going to dive into politics anymore. i guess it falls under the same catagory as religion. shouldnt really be talked of on a public board.

Sabby, I really don't think thats fair. Meat doesn't deserve that, and I have never seen meat take a side on the ricardo issues until recently.

As with Ricardo's followers I don't agree with the idea, I think its more a case of board politics. Pissing off the wrong person can be the kiss of death to your business, so many just go along with the crowd.

Actually I kinda miss many of the old posters like you, sword, fuckin bill etc ... you guys balanced the board, called bullshit when it needed to be called, and helped keep netpond stable. I still think netpond is the single best board in the industry, but many of you guys made it perfect... and there are several just like me who wish you 'oldtimers' would become regular posters again.
