Betabrigade SEO/Linking Project Participants (important)

Its important that participants get their sites completed and posted in the correct thread http://www.betabrigade.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4542 before the cut of line for round two site inclusions.

After round 2, and new sites will have to individually negotiate their link swaps with the other sites in the network, and inclusion will be up to each of the other site owners/webmasters. Early indications are that this project is shaping up to be a huge success so I am sure we will probably hold a couple of new site inclusion rounds from time to time, but it will probably be at least 4-6 months away.

What was the SEO/Linking project for .... easy .... to get SE traffic in a network of sites spread out over many different hosts, with many different site styles but avoiding excessive use of content or free galleries etc.

Results : So far almost half the sites have managed to pick up some pagerank, several of the sites have obtained high ranks for certian keywords, and there are a percentage of sites which have already made sales!!! This is after a very short time in SEO terms.

It looks like we will end up with near to 200 fully completed sites !!!!!! That is simply huge!

The guys & girls who have put in the work, and have gone the extra yard to try and escape the freesite/tgp trap and throw themselves into something different are already starting to see some returns. With continued effort and growth of their sites I am positive they will be enjoying regular sales for minimal effort, and hopefully their SE network will continue to grow.

Really impressed in the effort many of you have gone to ... because this project could only have been a success with active participants and we were lucky to have lots of them!

Great work.

But we arent finished yet, so get into BB and make sure your sites are there, and that links have been put up. Also we will wait for around 2 weeks for the links to be put up for round 2 and then start culling sites, so please dont delay once linking instructions are posted.

Also, as with all the projects i run on either here or BB, I really welcome feedback.

If something wasn't handled well, or something was done very well then please let me know. I'm not made of glass and won't break, as honest feedback helps improve things the next time, or help us focus on what was done well and worked.

So feel free to give feedback if either here, or in BB, or in a PM if you are gonna tell me I did a terrible job

Many thanks for this mission LB, it's been very interesting! I am not getting too much traffic to my sites yet, although it's still early days.

I'm working on another 2 at the moment, if I have 2 weeks I will do my best to crank out a couple more for the cutoff point.

EDIT:

For those of you that put up brand spanking new domains + sites in round 1, how many uniques per day are you getting? How many should you expect?

indeed, It seems this is a perfect way to build a foundation of long term traffic. I had never heard of SE sites before this mission.

Yeah I haven't seen this level of cooperation for a long time, and definitely not on this scale. I would have never dreamed we would have over 100 sites when I started this project.

Actually there is really no such thing as SRO sites. lol
Sites can be designed any number of ways, and more effort should be given to the linking campaign than getting the perfectly optimised Se page.

hehe yer, what I meant was I guess I had never thought of doing a site specifically for the SE's. Just to optimise all current sites and get them listed.

Interesting that you say the linking campaign is key. Lots more to learn!

This project received a 10 out of 10, it's brilliant. Tried it in the first round and I still get SE hits like mad, made a couple more pages targetted at SE, hoping to trade them soon!

Get the rest of your sites in guys, the deadline approaches quickly. I finished polishing off three today. I have a few more in the works, but will probably just have to manually look for trades on them later as I am playing catchup after being sick for a while.
