Who's a webcam model here?

I was just curious about a few aspects of this. It sounds like it can be fairly profitable? I would be doing with my fiance as a couple. What are some of the best cam sites to be featured on? How much can you earn?

How exactly does the billing and viewing process work? Is the cam feed controlled by the site, only letting people view if they pay? Or do you do the feed privately and bill them through the site?? Details are appreciated.

I can't speak for what it's like to be a webcam model chat host, but I can answer questions on billing, technology and new advances that are coming out to the industry.

To begin with some of the answers, each program has their differences, but almost all programs provide you the tools to do live chats/ and sometimes shows, while charging the surfer per minute to see you.

There can be money made by the chat hosts/models, and some do quite well, but to do this I would suggest doing some home work ahead of time like you are doing now.

Find out how often you want to be available, whether or not you want to do scheduled shows, and if you want to have your own website? These are questions I would ask you to find out where you want to head, as the cam world has so many options.

It can be productive. You can either work on your own or for a cam site. I don't know much about working on your own, but I know a few things about working for a cam site. One of my friends has a studio. It depends very much on how you know to attract customers, how you smile, tease, act, and so on. It is also very important to choose a proper background and use a high quality webcam. The lights and colors can make the difference between a good day at the "office" and a very bad one. Many performers work on more than one site at once, thinking they have bigger exposure and better chance to make money, but they end up in neglecting the customers. It's better to work on one, let's say two sites at once and pay attention to your chat room. It is also very important to work with good sites, sites that have customers and are able to bring you privates. And most important of all, don't do this if you're only for the money, because most of the customers feel that, because they will get you very stressed with their requests and your mood will not be “a productive one”. It will be just a waste of time. If you do enjoy camming, than you can make some nice moneys, how much depends only of you and usually luck.
