Tell ME A Story!!!!!
Some of you may be going. WTF Sen?
I want to explain something marketing professionals know and tell their clients. Stories sell. I will say that again for you. STORIES SELL!!! You ask almost any customer what they remember about the sales person or add or commercial that sold them on a product. The majority of the population will tell you it was some story that sold them. Not the technical details (unless it was uber geek looking at that new system at some computer site or some gear head looking at a hot rod). OK think about this one. Who has seen the Budweiser commercial with Hank? Now if you saw this commercial you know Hanks story as it was told in video format and you remember it. If you have not seen this commercial then you missed a great story. Now those of you that know hanks story when you are in the store and you see that 6 pack of Bud setting there I bet you remember Hank. So my point is that stories sell tell me a story about your set tell me a story about something weird or fun or exciting that happened to you. Tell me a story about something naughty you and a GF did. Tell me any kind of story that fits your set your personality your business model. Hell if you cant think of a story steal someone else's and make it fit you. Even if its just a fantasy of yours that you could never fit into words yourself. If you tell me (your fan or prospective customer) a story you stand a 60% increase in making a sale. Perhaps I do not have the money to pay for that membership or cam show today but that story will help me remember you when I do have that money burning a hole in my pocket. Wishing you all all the success in the world __________________

These are great for blogs. If you can be creative and write stories that are interesting you can dig up some great google traffic. The better your story and the more key words you use ; that relate to your site the more traffic you will get in return.

Very true Anne you have to use your key words properly both in title and in the story but you still need to have a story. Just pictures is not going to sell. You can have all the pics in the world but if the customer is not told a story and what makes your product/content special then they will just move on along and get the credit card out for someone that is willing to tell them a story and make them feel like they are being talked to personally

I'm just trying to figure exactly how to approach it. there are several events like bike week and spring break where I could get some hot pics of girls but I need to do something year round and I don't think those two events will provide me with enough material.

Stories can sell on a lot more than blogs, too. Webcam girls - if a potential customer reads a "story" on you bio he feels he know you more and is more likely to chat with you. Sex toys - a story can illustrate how the toy can be used and make potential buyers visualize themselves using it. Shorter stories on free hosted galleries can be good as well. There are a ton of uses of stories. And if you have a longer story you can space it out among several posts to keep viewers coming back for more.

Stories sell everywhere. Stories are what make people buy. Stories should be used everywhere. The adult eye is 78% more attracted to text than to images. That being said a person will actually stop and read the story if it catches their eye with the first line or two. So your opener has to be kick ass and attention grabbing and you have to keep hold of the viewers attention.
Stories should be used everywhere blogs, gallery pages, bios, entros, etc. I know I know Sen your not using a story every time on your site. I try to use stories as much as possible. Adult is my hobby mainstream is my pay and in mainstream I use stories to sell my customers asses off. They are so busy now they keep having to look at hiring new people and its all because I hammer home on them story story story story. __________________

Mike I was thinking you could do stories about Daytona the area etc collect tons of photos in the warm months when things happen more there. Then have a little private adult section where people have to sign up to enter and lets them know that they are going to a adult materials section. Also maybe you could put add in local paper on craigs list etc for babes in swimsuits to pose for the the blog. Giving them exposure and experience in modeling that they can add to their portfolios for other adventures. They get exposure yu get content. Win win situation. That would give you content that you woudl not have to pay for.
Same with going to the beach approach them tell them who you are what you do your site etc. Have a business card on hand and little note pad so you can write down their information and be able to let them know when they are posted on the site and they have a way to contact you. Just some thoughts off the top of my head. __________________

One problem webmaster often find though is that is is hard to get "stories" at a reasonable cost and when they don't pay enough they end up getting crap and then it has no value. I guess it is a catch-22. I'm working on a possible solution to that though. ![]() __________________

Well here is more on the importance of stories
Tell Your Story In A Memorable Manner There are many ways to present what you do and why your audience should care, but the most effective way is to deliver that information in a story format. When people come to your website they are putting you on trial, judging everything thing you present to see if it is relevant, convincing, and if it resonates with their needs. The article, "Evidence Evaluation in complex decision making," in the 'Journal of Personality and Social Psychology,' by Pennington and Hastie explains when prosecutors tell their version of events to a jury in story-format they are able to achieve a 78% conviction rate, whereas lawyers who do not use a story-format to communicate to juries only get a 31% guilty rate. When visitors come to your website they are putting you on trial for your Web-business life. __________________
