Being a model, I can say that it is both.
Many girls go into the "adult" business with the idea that they are running their own lives, and quickly realize that it's just like hollywood. Sometimes your a hit, but most of the time, you aren't. I'll throw out something maybe either not considered or it's just ME lol. I like the domming because I get to choose what goes on.
