Well I can't say it surprises me. Desperate times lead to desperate measures for many. Hopefully at least the members area sucks bad?
Porn prices need to be going UP, not down. That and free content needs to die a slow and painful death (which will never happen I know) It's going to be funny to see what signup ratios are 5 years from now. By then it'll probably be 1:5000 is considered goldmine traffic. ![]() __________________

Thereafter you will be charged $42.50 for every 1 month(s) until cancelled. $1 buck for the first month - $42 for every month after also they collect your email addy with zip code on the way in if marketed right can be worth more than the buck - with zip code they have some geo targeting to sell Also from the out side it looks to be Phoenix content which is inexpensive They've been around for a while - I saw them about 5-6 months back Seem to think I've heard something about them but can't remember |

HAHAHAHA Good find Vick!!
What a bunch of fucks!! The really scummy thing, is on the webmasters program, under the FAQ. It says: ------------------ "How can you pay $5 when you only charge the surfer $1?" Answer: The average surfer will recur for YEARS at $1 a month, not the 1-2 months average of other sites. -------------------- Thats fucking funny. The answer isn't "Because we fuck the surfer hard in the ass after the first month" their answer is claiming that the $1 billing continues. Would they classify as cockholsters Vick? __________________

Why are TGPs so bad?
Hi,
Quote:
Ok here comes one of them: Why should TGPs die? I agree that sites receive far too many hits compared to the sales they'll make out of it, but why should it annoy others? (I don't have links in TGPs...yet, that's why I'm asking) Thanks to anyone who would be willing to help. Regards, Alan. P.S. Don't you guys celebrate or something, send out a bottle of wine to people who post their 700th post? ![]() |

Yes I agree Fred the fees are no big deal really. In fact I would much rather surfers be paying $42 per month than $1 per month.
The thing that irks me, is the webmaster program is presenting it to the webmaster that the surfer only gets billed $1 per month continually, explaining that they can pay $5 anyways, because the surfer will recur for years. One possibility we should not overlook is that it is possible the tour we are looking at, is not priced the same as what someone would see coming thru an affiliate link. If it is the same pricing, $5 per signup is HORRIBLE for that type of proggy, and further their webmaster program pages would seem deceptive then. Who knows... __________________

most TGP's give away 2 much free content, making it real hard 2 upsell. You end up with a bunch of traffic but most of it is freeloaders, but if your like me you adapt to the times. Develop new marketing tatics, work harder!!
Some webmaster just wish it was the early/late 90's again when you could put up a picture of a breast and convert 1:10 ![]() I will never/never had pay for porn, even became a webmaster just to get the free content but that's another thread... __________________

lol, Alan
i don't think TGP's need 2 die, from what i see it's a combo of alot of things that need 2 stop but whatever.... __________________

I imagine that if you were worried about chargeback ratios with Visa etc then if you ran a $1 site you could ram in the transactions to lower your ratios.
Even if people charged back the $42.50 you'd probably still be fine with the amount of $1 transactions. Just food for thought...... I agree that there is too much free porn out there to promote a healthy business environment. Its amazing how many content producers give out free content nevermind paysites giving out free webmaster content. |

I looked at this program and site some months ago when I first saw it - Don't know if they have always charged $42 per month after the first month
Would be interested in hearing the owners side and knowing what their trial to monthly conversion ratio is Also is a porn buying credit card holders info worth $5 - I'd say maybe, especially if they are reselling that info and using it to build mailing lists Add upsales in the members section to reselling the info (not saying that is what's going on, speculation on my part) and building mailing lists and it could be a profitable model Would I say they're cockholsters - not yet - but the way the deal is presented to webmasters now it can be seen as sketchy and trying to play a webmaster for stupid Fred has a good point about most trials - same price range - different terms Again I don't know that they have always been $42 per month so it is possible that the webmaster site didn't get changed When I see new business models I try to find how they works Got me to thinking, I have a pay site I could convert to that model and maybe tag a follow me type program to it Hmmmmmm as for TGP's they probably aren't going away - I've always hoped they would collapse under their own weight (not being profitable) but it doesn't seem that is happening as many TGP owners have come up with new revenue streams (selling listings, selling traffic very cheaply) PornDarwinism ........ |

Vick it is intriguing. How does this sound? Five dollar porn. All the porn you can want for $5 dollars. And it rebills at $5 too. Have a follow me type program with 10 or 15 sites. Pay $10 or $12 per signup. Push the fact to the surfers that it is only $5 for the whole month, not a trial and the price NEVER goes up.
I'll bet the rebills on that would be phenomenal. It's hardly worth the effort of cancelling to save the $5 per month. Customers will pay the $5 per month as a fee to not have to screw with cancelling. It's an idea. __________________
