Blog submissions to SE's?

I have read that in addition to submitting all your blogs URL's to the various search engines you should also submit the URL's of each individual post. I thought Google and Yahoo had restrictions on the number of submissions you are allowed per day and could get you URL banned if you oversubmit.

Also is there a page available that has a list of all the search engines and their submission pages?

yeah they usually penalize for that. Plus actually if you set your meta tags for the robots to crawl all of the pages then you would not have to submit each, and every page. Uhm as for a site with all the search engines listed I used to have a link, but do not anymore. Although I do have 3 main links you can use if you wish lets see *digs through her favorites*

I would advice not to submit any pages, not even your homepage unless it is 2 months old and not yet spidered. Most of the time it is enough to submit a blog to a couple blog directories (or do a couple link trades), the search engines will then find your blog through the search engines and will start indexing and listing it.

i like to use a submitter to hit the link dumps, that normally works with the spiders for me

If your pings are setup right and working, there should be no need to ever submit to search engines. As Twan said submit to blog directories, such as his and www.adultblogfinder.com. If using wordpress, then I suggest using blogtrade plugin.
Google hits our feeder blogs within ten minutes most times.
