Do you exchange links only blog to blog?

Looking at this forum, it's almost like it's becoming a links trade forum. It looks like people are looking to trade blog to blog, and come here to do that. Nothing wrong with that, of course, I was just wondering how many people here limit themselves to blogs only in their trades and why?

For myself, I'll trade with quality sites too, sites that are rich in text and non-visual content are just as good as blogs to me in terms of SEO. Sites with tons of traffic, even if they're just fake TGP's, can be good for my blog traffic as well, IMO.

I will trade with sites too ... good link is a good link, no matter what type of site is from...

Some people say that blog trade links with TGp's is not good since that type of traffic is not as good converting. Dunno how true that is..

The obsession with link trading here is kind of monotonous, I admit. I sign in hoping to see something different and innovative being discussed only to see 20 threads on trading.

Lord knows I've done it myself but damn. To answer your question, I'm more concerned with quality and relevance than if it is a blog.

Yeah, I know what you mean Badwolf. I am all for link trading, but I think it might be wiser for NP to somehow keep it separate to a link trading forum, blog or not blog. Keeping this forum for blog related discussions only would have made it more interesting and valuable, IMHO.

i think that none is exchange links only with blogs.... all of us add the blogs in dirs, i exchange with some tgp and fake tgp , put it on top lists and dump it in link dumps sites.. so every one should make some clear picture of what can do for his/her blog..

A lot traffic doesn't mean a lot sales, good low quality traffic can bring you much more sales then huge amounts of traffic. So when you are trading you should look where the trade partner gets its traffic and which quality the traffic is. If the trade sends you 1000 hits a day than that is cool but if it doesn't convert then it is just traffic that eats your bandwidth.

True, but blog doesn't necessarily make for quality traffic, or at least not only blogs do

yeah but blogs are generally more likely to get se traffic which is better than tgp traffic. i will also trade with different types of sites, but i wouldn't want to swamp my blogs with a shitload of tgp traffic that doesn't convert...

One I do all my trades myself and I don't have anyone helping with my sites to look for trades and I dont see anything wrong with anyone coming on here looking for trades especially when you dont know a network of people to trade with, I am very thankful for netpond for helping all us traffic builders to get a foot in the right track for trading! But this is just me but I am sure others fill the same way I do! Now on the other hand if I had someone doing my trades I could probably be able to share more blogging information then just trading links!

I really dont link trade in hopes of traffic. I just did it so i could get picked up by spiders quicker.

I've often wondered this myself.

I was thinking of trading links between blogs and my forum, I think they complement each other more than blogs-tgp for example.

I trade mostly on the niche, not the type of site. If you have a site in my niche and want to trade with a blog I have, I have no problems with that at all.

I prefer to trade with non-blogs.

I would trade with anyone who has quality traffic and doesn't give away the farm on their site/trade partners. So tgps/fake tgps would be excluded, but SE sites/other blogs are just fine.
