Making Blogs About a Specific Model

I'm interested in the blogs I see that use a specific model as their niche, like -tristastevens.thumblogger.com.
First, how do you even discover potential models to make sites about? I had never heard about Trista Stevens before seeing someone post their Trista Stevens blog. If I wanted to make a bunch of blogs like that, what would be the smartest way to come up with a list of names?

Second, how does the profitability of doing a specific model as your niche compare with doing broader niches? Trista Stevens for example only gets around 1500 searches a month, and actually looked like a fairly competetive niche for one so small. While the traffic you get is highly targeted, there is a lot less of it and you really only have the one program to promote right?

Anyone have any input on this sort of blogging? Thanks.

(On an aside, how in the heck does her own site, tristastevens.com, rank so low for the search term 'trista stevens'? She's like page 6!)

I've done it with a few blogs and had some good results, but for the most part having a model as a category on one of my main blogs has better results over all for me, and also I don't have to worry about what happens if she leaves the biz or watever

I'm no expert when it comes to solo girl anything.
I started one as a favor to the promoter of a model Ellie Luv. (Plus I like doing what I do). He didnt have an affiliate program for any of his models until i persuaded him to do so.
The program is relatively new so i really dont have much sales statistic info to give you .
I happened across the owner of her site in a Yahoo group actually a cpl years ago.

That is an ok place to look for potential models to build blogs for.
A couple of other places that are big network arenas are adultspace.com and myspace.com
Regardless if a person like the sites or not they are awesome places to meet potential models or website owners that arent in the big affiliate programs.

Just my small (very small) contribution.

If you were interested in checking out the blog I built for Ellie Luv,
the URL is ellieluv.thumblogger.com

I have http://anitadark.thumblogger.com/ - Anita Dark fanblog. It used to have very good traffic flowing from Google (some 350-500 hits a day). But that traffic didn't convert - except for AEBN movies.

It has some 50-80 hits a day now after I, sort of, let it mature for a while - like a good wine

There are many ways of finding individual models, there are websites that list models/sponsors by niche, etc.

As to why you would name a blog/site after a model the best reason is setting up a pre-sell blog specifically designed to sell that model with traffic that has been filtered through more general blogs/sites such as teen, bbw, milf, etc.

You can add as many layers to the filtering traffic process as you want - blogs on teens, blogs on blonde teens, blogs on teens w/ big tits, blogs on teens that do hardcore etc etc to blogs on specific models.

You can blog on one sponsor with many models in one niche as an added layer, whatever. The idea being that different blogs do different things, Dane wrote a really good post on this - What is your blog supposed to do?

But yeah, it's risky. I just got an email from Mayors Money telling me to take down my links to Always Pamela.........I feel for the webmasters who bought Always Pamela domains.
