What Kind of Site is Best to Stick in Your Signature?

I think I have basically seen three types of sites in sigs on this forum.

1. People's xxx sites.

2. Referrals to XXX Affiliate programs.

3. Blogs or resources about the adult webmaster business.

Which of these is most advantageous overall? It doesn't seem like linking to your porn site would generate much income if any income on netpond. If anything you will probably just get fellow webmasters peeking at your site for ideas or to scrape content. (If you have any good ideas or content that is) Do people mainly do this for the backlinks? How much do said backlinks help?

Putting XXX affiliate programs in your sig seems like it could be profitable, especially if you write some catchy text. Does anyone make much money like that?

The last option, an adult webmaster blog or resource, seems like your best option since posting the link on netpond is essentially advertising to your target audience. Of course, you have to go and make a blog about the adult website business.

Anyway, I would love to get some input on what people have had success with in their signatures. Has anyone generated more than pocket change?Thanks!

The purpose of my sig is to make me money and I make a nice chunk of change from it

You can put your own porn sites in your sig, this board does get spidered so it will give you some SE advantage..

As you can see my sig is making me richer...

I'm putting in my sig links to affiliate programs or affiliate links for some products, and they both are making me some cash... so that's main purpose of my sig...

LOL! No, that's secret...

But can tell you this... with my sig I got about 15 webmasters to programs that I promote and almost all of them generate some income for me... this button is new so I'm still waiting to see how that will work...

Netpond sigs accept HTML so you can use that to make your sig... but all buttons and banners need to be hosted somewhere and you will hotlink them in your Netpond sig...

A little confused -- Are we allowed to put up ARS banners or just buttons? The rules in the FAQ say -- "One button 120x60 and /or 3 lines of text (no boldy text) unless your promoting a Netpond Sponsor then Banners up to 468x60"

Is ARS a netpond sponsor? I didn't see them in the list; but you guys seem to be using the banner size, not the button size.

Anyway, I'm going to try out the ARS banner on my sig, thank you for the tips.

I don't advertise anything there for personal reasons.

So is ARS a netpond sponsor? I see a lot of users with high post counts using the banner size ad in their signature, but I don't see it in the list of sponsors. Is that list of featured sponsors I see at the bottom of my screen not inclusive? Anyway, I've popped an ARS button on my sig and already have enough for a stick of gum. Cool beans.

well, from your sig you can make no money and you can make some money. It all depends on how frequent you post and how's your rating around the boards you visit. Don't expect to make a living out of your sigs

I am liking ARS so far. Although I have not quire made enough for a can of soda yet, I really like that it is a slow, steady, stream. Are there other adult affiliate programs that pay per impression?
