you should have done it without the warning page. this way, your directory has PR0. anyway, PR is not as important as most people think.

if you look below then you see that that page also links to category pages. and the main page also links to the category pages, he just made two pages filled with keywords to point at category pages. so this should bring in more traffic actually.

yup, that's the idea

The directory "main" page is of less value to me as well as to the people submitting their blogs imo. That's why I attempt to have more keywords linking to the category pages.

I agree that PR means shit, but still it is no secret that PR0 is nothing and PR10 is better...

True.

I actualy did some "promotion" with the thumbloggers.
Others prefer to fill a starting directory with sponsors free hosted blogs...

just a matter of opinion, I guess.

Unless someone got 10 quality blogs for every category themselves, it's not easy to get a directory moving up the steps.
