Why Doesn't Google Like Some Blogs?

The blogs I make follow a cookie cutter pattern which makes me surprised when many of them get picked up by google within a few days while some of them still haven't been picked up by google for quite some time. Any idea what the key difference would be?

That is one difficult to answer question

Because it could be everything, from your writing style to the use of specific keywords or combination of keywords. Or from the incoming links to your outgoing links. Or it even could just be plain luck. Google is a mystery when it comes to these things, 2 quite similar sites might even rank different. For example site1 might rank higher then site2, now clone site1 and site2 and now site2 ranks higher then site1.
Every single little detail might influence your ranking.

Add more text to the sites that aren't getting indexed......more backlinks from sites that are indexed, that's all I can think of offhand. It's trial and error.

Google has its own algorithm in indexing sites. If you have backlinks to high ranking pages you might get indexed within few days.

If a blog doesn't get picked up by google in a week or two should I just forget about that one and focus on new ones, and the ones that are receiving hits from google?

Light some candles and pray to the google god,.. also you have to wear a black robe with google written on it for this to work.

No, keep updating it. I have a blog that took months to start picking up Google traffic.

Never drop a blog, even if you just feed it RSS feeds.

You need to print off above picture and constantly keep a candle burning in front of it. Place food before it daily and give it other gifts when you feel Google is being unkind to you. Don't worry the wife and children will understand in time.
Hint However if your family starts looking at you weird and two large guys dressed in white show up run do not walk or you may be taken for a interesting ride. Be sure to protect and take above picture with you if you have to run. You don't want to piss off Google.

I notice that on my normal webpages, i make let's say 2 pages, i put links to that page son some PR3 page, and everytime one page get faster index than second!

I can't figure Google out either! I have some blogs that are over two months old not getting much traffic, while other brand spanking new blogs with no incoming links at all and very few posts are ranking high for certain keywords and as a result, getting much more traffic than my older blogs. Boggles my mind!

That is very hard question to answer... continue to work on those blogs, get more backlinks, watch to make good post with lot of keywords and pray that Google will notice that...

same thing happens to me from time to time, some of my new sites/blogs get indexed for less than a day, for others it takes 1-2 weeks and even more...
