Can you embed videos on TB?

Is it as simple as a little html or impossible?

Yes you can. Its simple just copy the code and paste it into a post.

So what is the code I need? I have the video links already, I just want them to show up as a video in my post

It actually depends on the type of video and your video hosting.
Most video hosting give you a code which you can insert into your blog post.

You have to have a embeddable code like Twan said. Like from You Tube Daily Motion etc. You can't embed them anywhere unless their host provides you with this ability.

I tried embedding it right in the post didn't work, you have to click on the little box on the top that says HTML and a seperate box opens there is where you put the embeded code.. that will work

You can also switch editors by going to the Options tab and choose a editor that does support the tags the embedded code uses. Or you can use a external editor which is the most easiest way of adding (normal or special) blog posts to your blog. The following page lists a couple editors:
