Wordpress 2.2 released...

I stopped using feedwordpress. The best thing I ever did. Lot of work though at upgrade time. Is this a securty upgrade?

I love feedwordpress...wp-autoblog has a fraction of the functionality.

It's not just a security upgrade, some new features...which you can see here http://wordpress.org/development/2007/05/wordpress-22/

40 plus blogs to upgrade oh no and it was just a couple of weeks back I upgraded. Not gonna happen.

Seems like a good time to remind everyone of the value of having a WordPress setup, not for public access, but for testing upgrades, plugins, etc.

I keep two installed in subdirectories both will all the plugins I ever use, so I don't have to "experiment" with live sites. One is for mainstream (all text) and one for adult (pics + text), so I can use them for building and tweaking themes more conveniently too.

I used blogs organizer, see link. I used feedwordpress and It was suggested to me to change to a paid script. Other paid ones are good but this one seemed to be the best price for me.

Whew! Just upgraded one of my test sites to 2.2 and it's running fine. Since it has close to 50 plugins (basically everything anyone ever asks me to install), I imagine it should go as smoothly for most everyone.

FYI there is one difference: a couple of extra lines in wp-config. So if (like me) you have been in the habit of keeping the old file, this time you should update and rename the wp-config-sample.php file which comes in the zip/tar.
