I love feedwordpress...wp-autoblog has a fraction of the functionality.
It's not just a security upgrade, some new features...which you can see here http://wordpress.org/development/2007/05/wordpress-22/ ![]() |

Seems like a good time to remind everyone of the value of having a WordPress setup, not for public access, but for testing upgrades, plugins, etc.
I keep two installed in subdirectories both will all the plugins I ever use, so I don't have to "experiment" with live sites. One is for mainstream (all text) and one for adult (pics + text), so I can use them for building and tweaking themes more conveniently too. |

Whew! Just upgraded one of my test sites to 2.2 and it's running fine. Since it has close to 50 plugins (basically everything anyone ever asks me to install), I imagine it should go as smoothly for most everyone.
FYI there is one difference: a couple of extra lines in wp-config. So if (like me) you have been in the habit of keeping the old file, this time you should update and rename the wp-config-sample.php file which comes in the zip/tar. |
