Anyway, I just don't want to piss you guys off with a feature list here. Just go to our homepage and check them out if you want to.

65 themes? I bet that was a pain picking out that many themes, lol. Are they widget compatible? If so, you should put that in your features list. All in all, it sounds good. Good luck.

It is great to see more and more free blogging services pop up. Sometimes I wonder about about the oversaturation of some of the older services.

Well, Ural, as far as I'm concerned, there are a couple of important differences between xBlo.gs and thumblogger — I'm only listing the things xBlo.gs is better at

A shorter, easier to type subdomain.
More disk space (not THAT much, but everything counts...)
Advance video support for FLV, QT, WMP, YouTube and more.
WordPress MU based (this is not necessarily better, except for the next two points).
Better looking templates - some may not agree
Very good SEO capabilities (as said, thanks to WPMU).

I don't know if I'm forgeting anything.
Anyway, all that said, I do respect and give credit to Twan and thumblogger as they have done, and are still doing, a great job for the industry. Guys, you rock!

btw. I signed up yesterday, supposed to receive the activation in my e-mail and nothing happened. (didn't received anything from xblo.gs)

I used my gmail address. maybe that was the problem

seven and jibstar, we've had the same problem with other accounts, i don't have a clue why, cause everything seems to work fine when we test, and we do have accounts created with the verification email... kinda strange

anyway, you two please PM me your email address so I create an account for you

i get another account... however i looked at your free blog service and i like it on first sight... nice themes(although i think that you have to incorporate 3-column or maybe even 4column themes), nice package of plugins and nice work on wp...

I had two bloggers tell me they didn't get an activation email from my service also but what I think happens is that if you have a couple of pages of unread emails the activation email gets lost in the older emails instead of showing up in the newer ones the way it should. Just my two cents.

nope it's not that... because I signed up now and I received the activation mail after a few seconds. I keep my inbox pretty clean, and also the spam messages are checked in every other day and deleted because yes sometimes it happens to have there important messages...

Not trying to dump on xblogs, but I must say that one advantage Thumblogger and Twan's other site Sensualwriter (Sensualwriter is based on on Wordpress) have over xblogs is the ability to add javascript. I'd like xblogs a ton more if you gave users this ability.

I've finally managed to get in but how are you supposed to actually create a blog? The only two sections on my admin page are the dashboard and my profile. There's Nothing else there?!?

Wowowo... Questions one by one

Lets see:

- The email activation issue, which I hope is resolved, was a WPMU bug. For some reason, emails weren't sent to some addys

- Javascript is disabled for security reasons. Most of the stuff that JS does can be accomplished using a plugin, most of the times easier and faster. If anyone can think of something that JS does and isn't available by now on xBlo.gs just tell me and we'll try to work it out.

- We're preparing more themes, including some 3-column, but it's damned hard to find good 3-c themes (not to mention 4-c...)

- Jibstar, just login, then visit http://xblo.gs/wp-signup.php That should do it

Am I forgetting something?
