What can I do if they steal my text content?

Not long ago I have found that one auto-splog grabs text content from several of my blogs. They delete my all my links from the posts and their splog is getting indexed faster then my blogs. What can I do to stop them doing it? I buy all text content and they just steam my money… Where can I write an abuse to close their site?

Write to their sponsors and host and tell them what happened. They may help if you. Depending on is they are that responsive.

Yeah, follow his referral links, complain to the site owners.

Also you can report him to google, I think. Might require sending them a DMCA complaint, but they'll ban his site from their index.

write a post that really slags off his sponsors and says that if you click the links on this page you'll get a virus - see if his site will list it

Contact him and ask to remove your blog from his list. If he doesn't reply you or not going to remove your blog from his list then you can find his sponsors and tell them about him.

This kind of thing happens all the time. I agree with others that you should try to contact or report them. If all else fails, you can use .htaccess to send them another feed. I posted this in another forum awhile back, and for it to work the thief must be using your RSS feed (not a copy/paste job, or a feed through Google Blogsearch). However, I've found most thieves are too lazy to copy/paste each post, and instead rely on scripts to rip feeds, swap/remove links, etc...So in most cases this will work:

Check your server logs, and find the IP address of the theif (look for the IP that's accessing your feed every hour, or some other regular interval). You could also try pinging their site for its IP address, and seeing if it's hitting your feed in the logs. Then use .htaccess to serve them a feed of your choice, where XX.XX.XX.XX is their IP address:

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://a-different-feed

In my case, someone was ripping feeds from 3 different handwritten blogs, and repeatedly ignored my requests to remove them. I served up some sponsor RSS feeds, and for the last year, he's been unwittingly making sales for me without receiving a single post in return.

In your case, his script seems to be deleting your links, so unfortunately you can't make sales off him. But you can still get creative, and send any random offtopic feeds, even create your own feeds at sites like http://rss.icerocket.com/. You could say something like, "For the real porn go to: WWW.MYSITE.COM!!!"

Try contacting the sponsors and the hoster he uses. That should most of the time do the trick
