Spam in my WP Blogs
Every damn day I get 100+ Spam messages in my blog that I got to clear out ... If I don't get in there right away it goes up to 300 400 and even 600 which crashed explorer while I load them for mass deletinon ....Sometimes it takes several tries before I can get all the messages to load...
It's the same fucking bot over and over again with the same message... It makes me sick to see how dirty people play. I try to make a nice blog where people can post what they think and pricks like this come along and fuck it up for everyone .... They attack my Email accounts and the whole nine yards ... I get so much spam everywhere that I have to mass delete everything and miss importand stuff along the way because there is just to much reading to do at one time ... This shit is really making me an ugly person .. How can I get some kind of control over the spam being posted to my blogs ? Thanks for your help __________________

Thanks guys .. I got it up and running fairly easy.
Now let's see if she does the trick .. I'll be thrilled if it does  You bet docputer ... "Kdaniel" is one of my biggest fans and has been hitting all my blogs with avengance. __________________

askimet here... sometimes lets in a few spam messages, but I need to check about 10, and a few are legit so no worries here
since I installed it (not so long ago) caught over 4400 spam messages |

Akismet and one blog is getting a few THOUSAND spams a day for the same .cz and .cn sites -- firewalling the IP won't work as they just change to another proxy

Akismet or spam karma 2, both work about as well. To use akismet you have to signup to wordpress.com to get a pass code.
You can actually use both plugins at the same time, though that may be overkill |

The Wordpress plugin - WP-Hashcash works very well for eliminating spam comments.
