No longer accepting blogs promoting AFF

As of today (Feb 26) I am no longer accepting blogs submitted to my directories that promote Adult Friend Finder......or any program directly associated with Zango.

Sadly, this includes Thumblogger blogs and Sensual Writer blogs. If there is a change by Twan to change the AFF banner on these free hosted blogging services I will be glad to accept blogs hosted on these two sites again.

However, I am putting my money where my mouth is right now.

I apologize for this but I feel I have no choice at this point.

As I recall there was some sort of 'feature' on Thumblogger that lets you change the topbar sponsor, right?

Question BadWolf, are you taking into consideration whether the person has a non-AFF topbar while still on thumblogger? Or do you take the more general route, and just ban the domain because the majority of blogs will probably have the default topbar, and its easier to just ban by domain?

Just curious

I've read somewhere along the way about being able to remove the AFF ad, although I asked about it, and AFF's banner is a main t-blogger money maker, so in essence I took it that if you removed the banner your slapping the freehost in the face, and I wouldn't recommend it.

I saw Twan answer it on his forum, something like you click the link and can change it to the sponsor of HIS choice and it can't be changed back after that.

Judging by the posts in this thread most people don't know how to change the AFF banner. However, if anyone has a Thumblogger blog w/out the AFF top bar just send me a PM before you submit your blog.

Btw, all blogs submitted before 2/26 will be exempt from this new policy.

My advice would be to put pressure on Twan to stop promoting AFF. Then this would not be an issue.

There's a zillion blog directories that accept Thumblogger and Sensual Writer.
