It's well known Google likes no more than 100 outgoing links per page. In reality they are fine with 3-5 times more than that, as long as your blog/site has lots of worthy content (human readable text with keywords/phrases).

SB sites are somewhat advanced linkdumps, they do have more text but also thousands of outgoing links, which makes them effectively link farms still. Links from linkfarms to your blog are of really low SEO value and I dont need to explain why.

Not all SB sites like that, some have legit PR and lots of inbound links, these are worth it, but they are a minority. Most other SB sites are throwaway basic pligg or phpdug templates with lots of outbound links.

My opinion it might be helpful to submit your blog once every few months into these, but for everyday submits they are overrated and worthless. I still find the socialbookmark site submitter an interesting and useful bit of software and want to buy one. It really saves time and does it better than roboform from what I've seen.

Benefits? Mate, when you have several or more blogs it doesnt matter if your new blog is indexed in 1 day or in 10 days. It becomes the numbers game then, when you crank out blogs one after another

I'd still submit to SB sites from time to time, but I'd devote more time to finding GOOD relevant trades or submitting to directories, which are ranked high for relevant keywords/phrases. There was a great post by DiscoNinja here somewhere about this. As for SB sites, they are marginally useful because they are still linkdumps with small SEO value.

ok, last night i dropped email to the guy, and he responded within an hour. Aftet that i placed my order and within 20 minutes i got my license.

So, he is around, told me he is working on new version..

now lets start submitting!

yep i dropped him an email too, and he gave me the license to use w/o paying, but i needed to pay by the end of the day, or he would disable the license, great business man!

Certain sites add backlinks, some are just a waste.

As for traffic, let it go. Don't plan on seeing much traffic. . . .and those out there who grab traffic, there is some truth to it, but in my opinion don't bother, the traffic sucks for the effort. If it comes it comes if not no sweat.

I've had my fare share of front page traffic from nipplebyte and social porn, etc. but it doesn't stay long or convert. . . and blah blah blah someone is going to go off about maybe it doesn't work for you, etc. Maybe your site sucks, etc. But I don't think any traffic converts as well as SE traffic, so grab the value from the submitter in backlinks

At the end of the day its worth it for repeated backlinks to your all your blogs pages, and indexing in no time. Traffic is just a bonus.

Your right I wouldn't spend a ton of time on this, but for a measly 50 bucks I'll take the extra juice. If everyone is making money on this forum. . . why are a lot of people bitching about spending a bit?

good luck to everybody else using it. So far i did some submissions and i am pretty happy. For about 2 minutes i submit to about 35 sites. When doing it via hand it needed me about 15-20 mins, so its really a great time saver!

I currently trying the two free days trial before deciding on whether I want to buy it or not.

As a SB site owner I'm still undecided whether they are a waste of time for submitters / owners and surfers alike.

One problem is that with the autosubmitter any SB site on site gets overloaded with submits, when you receive say 50 submits a day and your front page displays 20 then not everyone can hold top spot or even a first page position for long if at all. Traffic will generally go out to the top few links on the site.

The quality of submissions is generally poor and many submitters can't be bothered to write decent lengthy descriptions. The poor quality discourages bookmarkers and the short descriptions reduces SE traffic.

Because recips are not required (and rarely given freely) then the SB sites have nothing in the way of link juice to boost their rankings and therefore receive more traffic. I supplement the SE traffic with links from my other sites. And for the first 6 months I had no advertising at all, as I wanted submitters to see the traffic and therefore encourage them to continue submitting.

Another factor is, at least for Pligg sites, there are so many urls that deliver the same page that supplemental results arise and category pages and individual pages get greyed out and virtually worthless to both submitter and owner.

Anyhow today I revamped my site. I upgraded to the latest version, gave it a makeover with a new non default theme and studied the issue of duplicate content on the Pligg forums. I hope by altering my robots.txt file the way I have I can stop the duplicate content issues and improve rankings, and with the new more professional look I can attract more bookmarkers. I will also be adding a top referrers script in the next few days to encourage hardlinks, which will hopefully help with SE positions.
