How many keywords
How many keywords do you think is good for one blog, to target, I would not mind doing a new set of keywords in each post. especially long tail, but keep the main title, url of the blog etc targeted to one long tail or keyword combo.
The problem is I do not want to get too high a keyword density in the blog and get nicked down on google for that. I showed one guy one of my blogs and I thought it was pretty good and he said, darn watch your keyword density you have like 5 percent density on the word lesbian. I think that is because I used a different lesbian keyword combo in each new post. Oddly the site did not seem to be penalized by google for the high density on these few words Do you think that the google keyword density rule of no more than 2 percent is somewhat akin to the duplicate content thing which is rumored to be exaggerated. I have heard even from Thomas Byers, for example that the dup content filter for google is not the boogeyman people make it out to be. Does this hold true for the keyword density rule also. Would you think that 5 percent , for example, would downgrade a site. |

I think I have more than 10% lesbian keyword density on my blog, as you said I use different keywords using lesbian. Google didn't penalize me yet, but I don't know why can penalize you for such a stupid thing

thats another thing i was wondering is if google does penalize you, since each keyword combination would theoretically have a different google ranking on that word........if google penalizes you, i would think they would only penalize the main blog since each post that was indexed by google on a different longtail would be seen as a different website by google. or am I wrong here.
but You are right I had a site with a ton of lesbian keyword combos on it, must have been way over 20, the density on the word lesbian was high, i would say 5 to 10 percent. and google didnt seem to penalize even the main blog so why then, do people say..........oh if you have over 2 percent keyword density, google will penalize you. is this a myth? old wives tale? old webmasters tale.
