Is there a way to import a long list of links in for example a *.txt file to wordpress/thumblogger?

I don't think you could do that, check if there is a plugin for that. I think you can import only posts

You could simply startup your favorite editor and add <a href=" in front of the url and ">[link title here]</a> to the end of the url. Now simply copy the whole html code into a box. And your ready!

if you have the links in a list on another blog you can upload the opml file by copy and paste the url
