What does it take to trade traffic/hardlinks?

I've been hawking my blog for a while now and like many others I've been trying to trade hardlinks and traffic,but it's so frustrating.Message board posts are left ignored, as are PM's and IM's. I know it sounds like a rant and I suppose in a way it is. Is there something I'm missing? Is there something wrong with the blog? or is it just about being patient and lucky?

It's a good question. I believe it has to do with your PR. I love how most webmasters say that PR doesn't mean shit, but will only trade with sites with a PR. Go figure . I would say webmasters will be beating down your door once your PR goes up.

You might want to try going to sites like yours and looking for webmaster contact info and try to contact the webmaster that way. I find that that's the easiest way for me.

well, best way is to look for trades by yourself and go directly to the signup forms and do it by yourself. another good way is to make trades page where you have links and info for all your sites where people can trade.
